Dr. Jeffri Aloys Gunawan, Sp.PD, CHt, FINASIM, FACP is a member of American College of Gastroenterology and European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation. He is Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine and the upcoming American College of Physicians.
He has completed training in intestinal ultrasound for IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). He completed numerous training, residency, and fellowships in gastroenterology and endoscopy at the University of Chicago Medicine, United States, Thailand, Universitas Indonesia, and upcoming European IBD Centre (ECCO member).
Dr. Gunawan is the author of several educational books in medicine, gastroenterology field, and many literatures on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). He is coauthor of a textbook of Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). He is also a featured media contact for issues related to medicine and stomach problems and maintains a verified instagram feed @drjeffaloys for educational purposes. His principal research interests include IBD diagnostics, therapeutics, epidemiology, and trends in Asia, dyspepsia, internal medicine at large, and other gastrointestinal disorders.
