JAKARTA, March 3, 2020 – On March 2, 2020, it was confirmed that two patients in Indonesia were tested positive for Covid-19, or Coronavirus as it is widely called. Primaya Hospital is attempting to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus by taking proactive measures and taking action when patients are suspected or confirmed to be infected with the virus.
According to Dr. Ferdy D. Tiwow, SH. MS, CEO of Primaya Hospital Group Corporate, all Primaya Hospital Group hospitals will endeavor to improve the frequency of cleaning at many areas that are frequently touched by patients.
All Primaya Hospital Group hospitals, on the other hand, will conduct screening stages for patients who visit the whole Primaya Hospital Group network throughout Indonesia. Dr. Ferdy D. Tiwow, SH. MS, remarked, “Every patient will be asked if he has a cough or other problems with a Coronavirus tendency.”
Following the screening, the history of interactions or patient visits with parties or locations impacted by the Coronavirus will be investigated. The patient can be classified as a suspect if he or she has been in contact with or visited a region infected with the Coronavirus. Dr. Ferdy D. Tiwow, SH. MS, remarked, “We will refer the patient to the Coronavirus referral hospital in Indonesia.”
Primaya Hospital Group will conduct several observations to identify whether someone is infected with the Coronavirus or not, beginning with the symptoms reported by patients, such as fever (although some patients get the Coronavirus without developing a fever), flu (or flu-like illness), cough, or shortness of breath if the situation worsens.
“Furthermore, if the patient is suspected of having Pneumonia, we shall perform a Thorax X-Ray check.” “The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is the ultimate test,” Ferdy D. Tiwow, SH. MS, explained.
The public can visit or contact the nearest Primaya Hospital IGD for further medical follow-up if someone has been diagnosed with Coronavirus.
