Primaya Hospital has International Standard Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) facilities, equipped with the latest equipment including monitors, incubators, ventilators, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and light therapy. These three rooms are rooms for treating patients intensively. ICU is intended for adult patients, NICU is for newborn patients, while PICU is for infant patients, toddlers, up to the age of 17 years.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
The ICU at Primaya Hospital treats adult patients who need intense medical attention, for example patients who have just left the operating room and thus require close supervision. Postoperative patients need to be observed to ensure their condition is stable and has no complications. Other patients who enter the ICU are patients who need breathing assistance or have an unstable heart condition.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
A newborn baby has many adjustments needed to make to the world outside his mother’s womb. This adjustment is a big step by the baby because he no longer depends entirely on the body of the mother as breathing, eating, excretion, or endurance. Some babies have difficulty adapting. This is caused by various things such as being born prematurely, obstacles during childbirth, or other abnormalities. The NICU room is a room suitable for babies who have these problems.
Generally, babies who enter the NICU are babies born prematurely (gestational ages 7 weeks during delivery), low birth weight (under 2.5 kg), or have other special conditions. NICU and PICU services are inside the Primaya Hospital Mother and Child Service Center.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
PICU is a unit that provides healthcare services for infants, toddlers and teens. The PICU medical team is always ready to provide 24-hour healthcare for critical infant and toddler patients and adolescents who require intensive observation. The healthcare services provided in this section do not neglect the child’s basic needs, for example attention to physical and psychological growth and development in decision making. NICU and PICU services are inside the Primaya Hospital Mother and Child Service Center.
Besides being supported by sophisticated equipment and technology, ICU / NICU / PICU at Primaya Hospital is also handled by a competent medical team consisting of specialist doctors and nurses who are skilled in their fields.
We apply the same international service standards at each Primaya Hospital branch that aims to maintain patientโs safety while undergoing treatment in all branches of the hospital that are incorporated in the Primaya Hospital network.
